Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Healthify ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with your use of the Healthify iOS application (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

All health data generated within the App is stored exclusively on your device and is never uploaded to our servers. This App is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

When you use Healthify, you may voluntarily provide the following:

We and our integrated third-party partners may automatically collect limited technical information when you use the App:

1.3 Camera Access and Heart Rate Measurement

Camera access is required exclusively during active heart rate measurement sessions and is not accessed at any other time. Raw camera frames are processed in real time on your device using photoplethysmography (PPG) optical analysis and are never stored or transmitted.

During a measurement session, Healthify analyzes subtle changes in blood flow via your device's rear camera and flash to derive on-device metrics including Heart Rate, Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Respiratory Rate, Stress Level, Energy Level, and Heart Score. No raw camera footage is retained in any form.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

Your health and fitness data — including heart rate, HRV, stress, BMI, weight, height, age, and gender — is never sold to any third party, never used for advertising profiling, and never uploaded to external servers.

4. Third-Party Services

Healthify integrates the following third-party SDKs. Each operates under its own privacy policy and may collect data independently.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of each partner: Google, Adjust, Meta.

All health data — including gender, age, height, weight, heart rate, HRV, respiratory rate, stress level, energy level, and Heart Score — is stored exclusively on your device. We do not upload, sync, or transmit your health data to any external server.

7. Your Privacy Rights

California Residents — CCPA / CPRA

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used; to request deletion of your personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal data); and to receive equal service regardless of whether you exercise your privacy rights.

EEA and UK Residents — GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data; to receive your data in a portable format; to object to or restrict processing; and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

In-App Controls (All Users)

To exercise any right, contact us at dev@apploom.dev. We will respond within 45 days for CCPA requests and 30 days for GDPR requests.

8. Children's Privacy

Healthify is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these age thresholds. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will promptly delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) adopted by the European Commission and Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with all third-party service providers.

Your on-device health data is never transferred internationally — it remains on your device at all times.

10. Apple HealthKit

Healthify may request access to Apple HealthKit in accordance with Apple's HealthKit Framework Guidelines. HealthKit data is used only to provide health and fitness services within the App. It is never used for advertising or marketing purposes, never sold or shared with data brokers or advertisers, and never used to calculate insurance premiums, credit scores, or employment decisions.

HealthKit data remains within the Apple Health ecosystem on your device. Healthify does not store or transmit HealthKit data to external servers. You may revoke HealthKit access at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Healthify.

11. Medical Disclaimer

Healthify is a general wellness application only. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or mitigate any disease or health condition. Do not use this App as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Heart rate measurements are derived from camera-based optical (PPG) signals and are not equivalent to clinical ECG readings or medical-grade testing. Results may be affected by skin tone, ambient lighting, device model, movement, and other factors. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making health-related decisions based on data from this App. In a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and display an in-app notification the next time you launch Healthify. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
